Secure Flight Questionnaire
INSTRUCTIONS: In an effort to develop a watch list matching solution and implementation plan for a population of Twelve-Five, Private Charter, and other general aviation operators who may access Secure Flight in the future please complete this questionnaire. Completion of this questionnaire is voluntary. In order to design a solution/plan to lessen the burden of the Secure Flight program implementation with this population, better knowledge of the community is required.
Questions posed to the industry will be segmented into the following topics.
Technical:
Does the operator use a Reservation system in their operations?
If yes:
What passenger data is collected by the Reservation system?
When (prior to departure) is this data typically collected for travelling passengers?
What itinerary information is stored in the Reservation system?
Do all airports the operator travels into/out of have access to the same Reservation system?
Does the operator manage their own technology or is this outsourced?
If no:
How is travelling passenger data stored for your operations?
Does the operator have internet access at all of the airports the operator travels into/out of?
Operational:
Describe the process that occurs from the time of booking to the time the passenger boards the aircraft?
Does the operator collect all origination/destination points for travelling passengers?
Does the operator have the ability to submit changes to passenger information stored in the reservation?
What are the sources of passenger bookings?
What is the number of annual enplanements the operator provides?
Does the operator offer international travel?
Does the operator have connectivity to APIS through the DHS Router?
Security:
At the boarding point, what type of screening process is performed?
How does the operator currently conduct watch list matching?
For potential matches to the Watch List, how does the operator review the passenger’s identification and make updates to the original booking?
For confirmed matches to the Watch List, who contacts OI?
