The Study of Emerging Teacher Evaluation Systems in the United States will contribute to the Department's work by providing research-based information to aid state and local efforts to plan and implement comprehensive teacher evaluation systems. The study includes a review of the research on teacher evaluation practices, programs, and policies, and 9 case studies. The study sample will include 5 fully operational teacher evaluation systems and 4 systems in the early implementation phase.
