S1. Great. We would like to ask you some questions about food and shopping that will help SNAP improve services and better meet the needs of the people who use this program. The interview which is completely voluntary takes about 30 minutes and you’ll will receive a $20 check as a thank you for participating in the study. Do you have time now to be interviewed? IF NOT – What would be a good day and time for the interview?
INTRO2: I’m sorry you didn’t get the letter. VERIFY ADDRESS. Is your mailing address? CORRECT ADDRESS INFORMATION IF NECESSARY. Here is a copy of the letter, let me review it with you. The letter explains that we would like to ask you some questions about food and shopping that will help SNAP improve services and better meet the needs of the people who use this program. Only some people from USDA/FNS and the research team will see your answers. Your name will be kept separate from your answers. Your answers will be put together with answers from the other people in the study and reported only as totals and averages. The interview takes about 30 minutes and you’ll will receive a $20 check as a thank you for participating in the study. Do you have time now to be interviewed? IF NOT – What would be a good day and time for the interview?
