Abstract: The National Land Remote Sensing Education, Outreach and Research Activity (NLRSEORA)promotes the uses of space-based land remote sensing data and technologies through education and outreach at the State and local level and through university based and collaborative research projects. Nonprofit organizations, Public and Private colleges and universities may apply for financial support by completing forms SF 424, SF 424a and SF 424b (the paperwork burden for these forms have been previously approved). After acceptance, progress reports covering each year's activities and one final report at the end of the grant period must be submitted as described in the award terms and conditions.

Short Statement: The annual burden for the grantee to submit an annual report has been adjusted upward from 10 to 24 hours based on the experience gathered from the current award. Additionally, the number of reports required has been adjusted to indicate one annual interim report and a final report at the end of the grant period. In regards of changing the name from "Program" to "Activity", Oversight for this effort is through the U.S. Geological Survey's Land Remote Sensing Program, therefore it is more appropriate to refer to this effort as an activity rather than program as was previously indicated.
