Short Statement: The increase in burden occurred due to a new requirement for States to perform matches through the Public Assistance Reporting Information System (PARIS). The increase in burden also resulted from updated projections of the number of Medicaid recipients and data requests to various agencies to verify income and eligibility of Medicaid applicants.
