This collection is necessary to verify
income and eligibility requirements for Medicaid recipients, as
required by Section 1137 of the Social Security Act.
The increase in burden occurred
due to a new requirement for States to perform matches through the
Public Assistance Reporting Information System (PARIS). The
increase in burden also resulted from updated projections of the
number of Medicaid recipients and data requests to various agencies
to verify income and eligibility of Medicaid applicants.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
