I am writing to ask you for your assistance in a multi-year study that will allow us to assess and continually improve the services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Education Service, Post-9/11 GI Bill Program. The study will be conducted using surveys that will provide us feedback on the effectiveness of the Post-9/11 GI Bill. The feedback will help us to make improvements that will ensure the program is meeting the needs of Veterans.


Participation in this study is voluntary and the data collected will only be used for research and statistical purposes. Any data reported will be in aggregate form, thus protecting your privacy. The information that you provide is protected by law (the Privacy Act of 1974, 5 U.S.C. 522a and section 5701 of Title 38 of the United States Code) and any data collected will not impact any current or future benefits for which you may apply.


The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete and asks about your participation in the Post-9/11 GI Bill program, recent employment or educational experiences, and any recent visits to medical facilities.


The current year’s survey is attached. Surveys in future years will be very similar. If you agree to participate, please do one of the following:
