OFFICIAL SWEEPSTAKES RULES AND REGULATIONS (UNITED STATES)
THE FOLLOWING SWEEPSTAKES IS INTENDED FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE UNITED STATES ONLY AND SHALL ONLY BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO UNITED STATES LAW. DO NOT ENTER THIS SWEEPSTAKES IF YOU ARE NOT LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules. The Sweepstakes will be open during the survey research period and closed on or about September 30, 2015. The survey is sponsored by: Edge Research Inc., 1555 Wilson Blvd, Suite 602 Arlington, VA 22209.
ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is only open to legal U.S. residents who are eighteen (18) or older and have been invited to participate in the Sweepstakes. Void where prohibited. Employees of Edge Research Inc., the National Institutes for Standards and Technology, its divisions, subsidiaries and affiliates, their respective agencies, and members of their respective immediate families and/or household are not eligible. All entrants must have a valid email address. There is no cost to take this survey.
HOW TO ENTER: All persons who complete the online survey by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on August 30, 2015 will automatically receive one (1) entry into the sweepstakes. Limit one (1) entry per person and/or email address.
WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION:
On or about August 15, 2015, the prize winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received. The potential prize winners will be notified by telephone and/or mail and/or e-mail, using contact information provided or collected at the time of entry. Sponsor shall have no liability for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by a potential winner for any reason. If, despite reasonable efforts, a potential winner does not respond within seventy-two (72) hours of the first notification attempt, or if the prize or prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable to such potential winner, such potential winner will forfeit his or her prize and an alternate winner may be selected. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will attempt to contact up to three (3) potential winners of a prize in accordance with the above procedure, after which the prize in question may go unawarded if it remains unclaimed. If any potential prize winner is found to be ineligible, or if he or she has not complied with these Official Rules or declines the prize for any reason prior to award, such potential prize winner will be disqualified and an alternate prize winner may be selected. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
PRIZES:
Fifteen (15) Prizes are available. Each Prize consists of a $20 Amazon gift card.
No cash alternative or prize substitutions will be allowed, except Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize(s) of comparable value if a prize listed is unavailable for any reason. Prize winners shall be solely responsible for any federal, state and/or local taxes, and the reporting consequences thereof, and for any other fees or costs associated with the applicable prize. Any potential prize winner may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and (where imposing such condition is legal) a Publicity Release (collectively, “Prize Claim Documents”). If winner fails or refuses to sign and return all Prize Claim Documents within five (5) days of prize notification (or a shorter time if required by exigencies), winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected.
Sponsor makes no warranties, and hereby disclaims any and all warranties, express or implied, concerning any prize furnished by third parties in connection with the Sweepstakes. WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, SUCH PRIZES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND SPONSOR HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL SUCH WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND/OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
By participating in this Sweepstakes, winners consent to the use of their name, hometown, biographical information, and photograph for any lawful purpose, without further permission or compensation, except where prohibited by law.
GENERAL: By entering, each participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final. Sponsor, the National Institutes for Standards and Technology, agents and representatives of Sponsor and the National Institutes for Standards and Technology, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind; (ii) failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions; (iii) any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Sponsor that may cause the Sweepstakes to be disrupted or corrupted; (iv) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the Sweepstakes; or (v) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or cancel Sweepstakes at any time if a computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, or other technical problem of any sort corrupts the administration, security, or proper play of the Sweepstakes. In the event the Sweepstakes is terminated before the designated end date, Sponsor reserves the right to award the Prizes in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to termination. Sponsor also reserves the right to disqualify, in its sole discretion, any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the Web site, or who is otherwise in violation of the rules.
