Federal Financial Accounting Standards
require that NASA account for Government-owned/contractor-held
property. Contractors' records are the official Government property
records. The NF1018 provides an annual collection of summary data
to ensure the accurate reflection of Agency assets and depreciation
on the financial statements and essential property management
information.
NASA has fewer applicable
contracts, resulted in a lower number of respondents, and the
increase in electronic submissions results in a lower burden
estimate.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that

with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
