SUBJECT Notification to NLSY97 respondents of change of collection to every two years and transcript incentives
BLS is requesting OMB approval to notify NLSY97 respondents in October of 2012 that data collection will now occur every other year. Included for your review is the email that will be sent to NLSY97 respondents (Attachment 1).
BLS is also requesting OMB approval to provide NLSY97 transcript study respondents who have not signed their transcript waiver request form an incentive fee of $10 for the completion of this form. Information regarding the incentives is included for your review (Attachment 2).
Current OMB approval of the NLS97 round 15 surveys is scheduled to expire on October 31, 2012. This work will be completed prior to October 31, 2012 and there is no increase in burden due to this request.
