Supplemental statement number 2 for change to Title of 1506-0020
The providers of prepaid access are now required to establish and maintain an anti-money laundering program under the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). This change to the title of this OMB control number will correct the current title to prevent confusion.
FinCEN added prepaid to OMB Control number 1506-0020 and adjusted the burden accordingly when the rule was finalized. OMB approved the submission but somehow prepaid was not added to the title. FinCEN discovered the omission during a review of the FinCEN Unified Agenda. FinCEN was concerned that anyone looking for prepaid PRA info might not find anything through a title search. This was discussed with Treasury’s Office of Information Management , and the decision was made to submit a non-material title change.
