Summary of Methodological Changes in the 2013 Survey of Doctorate Recipients
Few changes will be instituted for the 2013 SDR.
1. Completion of the survey via the Web instrument will be emphasized in the sample member contact
materials, to reduce the labor costs and time associated with processing data from paper
questionnaires and conducting interviews by phone.
2. The data collection period will be reduced and contacts will be made more frequently, to provide a
final data file in a more timely manner.
