The 2013 SDR questionnaire will be the same as the 2010 SDR questionnaire except for the
following minor changes

1) The reference date will be changed throughout the questionnaire from October 1, 2010 to February 1,
2013.
2) The responses for Question E6 will be changed from two options to three, as follows:

On October 1, 2010, were you living in the United States, Puerto Rico, or another U.S. territory, or
were you living in another country?

2013 version

3) In addition, the 2013 SDR will include a follow-up question at E6 for respondents who report living
in “Another country.” They will be asked to report the specific country in which they were living (as
shown above).
4) In Question A43, the abbreviation “Dept.” will be spelled out as “Department.”
5) In Question A11, “25,000+ employees” will be changed to “25,000 or more employees” to coincide
with “10 or fewer employees” at the other end of the response scale.
6) The color of the paper mail questionnaire will be green, rather than blue as it was in 2010.
