Dear Reporter:

Please supply your best appraisal of current farm activities and field conditions in your county as of Sunday, August 7th and submit your response before 10am Monday, August 8th.

HOW TO SUBMIT

Web: http://cpcsweb.nass.usda.gov

Fax: 800-839-2186

Tips:

Enter a number for each stage of development. If the entire corn acreage has reached the silking stage or beyond, enter “100%”.

MILK Stage – Begins 18 to 22 days after silking and kernels have blistered. Kernels are filled with milky fluid. Kernel moisture content is approximately 80 to 85 percent.

Small Grains:

RIPENING

The question for ripening should be interpreted as follows:

What percent of the crop has reached the Ripening stage or “beyond”? The “beyond” is intended to include the harvested portion of all ripened grain.

For assistance contact Emily Jerve

at 1-800-453-7502.

Thank you for your participation!

Sincerely,
