Structured Interviews with Subject Matter Experts

RAND, a non-profit research institution, is conducting a study for the Centers for Disease Control on the costs and cost savings of motor vehicle injury prevention. As part of the study, we are estimating the costs of implementing several different policies and programs designed to prevent such injuries. Much of the cost information we need can be gathered from reviews of the literature; however, we are finding gaps in literature that we hope to fill through interviews with persons such as yourself.

We selected you as someone who should be very knowledgeable and experienced in issues related to this topic.

You should know that taking part in this interview is voluntary. If you agree to participate, you may stop the interview at any time and / or feel free to skip any questions you prefer not to answer. RAND will use the information you provide for research purposes only.

We will be pleased to answer any questions that you have. If you agree to be interviewed, please reply to this email and we’ll set up a time that is convenient to you.

If you cannot participate, we would appreciate an email indicating that as well. If you could also identify a person or persons that you feel would be an appropriate respondent for our study, we would value receiving the contact information.

If you have any questions about the study or using ExpertLens, please contact:

  • ExpertLens Administrator at [email protected] and/or Ms. Liisa Ecola (703) 413-1100.

  • If you have any questions or concerns about your rights as a participant in research, please contact: RAND’s Human Subjects Protection Committee at (310) 393-0411, ext. 6369.
