Your operation has been selected to participate in the Nursery and Floriculture Chemical Use Survey, conducted by USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). This survey is the only comprehensive measure of chemical use and pest management practices in the nursery and floriculture industries.
Your cooperation is needed to ensure that reliable, up-to-date information is available from the most reliable source – growers themselves. Your responses will be combined with those of more than 3,500 producers nationwide to provide timely and reliable data about the current state of nursery and floriculture production in the United States.
These data will be used by a host of individuals and organizations – including growers, distributors, chemical manufacturers, buyers, policymakers, regulators and others – to make sound business decisions and plan for the future.

We recognize your time is valuable, and our interviewers will schedule an appointment convenient for you. The survey will go quickly and smoothly if you have your chemical use records available at this appointment.
Your survey responses will be kept completely confidential, as required by federal law. NASS safeguards the privacy of all responses, ensuring that no individual operation or grower can be identified.
