The Safer Campuses and Communities Intervention is aimed at reducing intoxication at off-campus parties in private homes and apartments (including fraternities and sororities) via a combination of alcohol control measures, including enforcement of drunk driving laws, laws against selling or serving alcohol to minors, and local ordinances to address nuisance parties (e.g., loud or with obviously intoxicated guests). A large part of the intervention is the use of various media and messages so students will be aware of the enforcement operations.
