Businesses engaged in the interstate
shipment/receipt of fresh fruits and vegetables provide information
on the request for inspection service to identify the food products
requiring inspection.
US Code:
7 USC
1622 Name of Law: Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946
This revised submission of
0581-0125 includes the merging of the DOV-0581-0234 collection
reflecting a burden increase of 5,038 hours but a decrease of
15,218 responses as a program change. There is an adjustment
decrease in burden and responses for 0581-0125. The overall
decrease in responses to both collections is due to a market trend
to decentralize from terminal markets offering specialized products
to a less costly suburban location where companies can provide a
variety of products to customers. Traditional terminal markets have
seen a decline in the number of responses. This submission is
supported by data in our Fresh Electronic Inspection
Resource/Reporting system.
