Welcome to Project ROVER's Vets and Pets Survey
Thank you for your interest in the Vets and Pets Survey for Project ROVER (Returning Our Veterans to Employment and
Reintegration), a research project between the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and West Virginia
University.
The goal of Project ROVER is to understand the relationship between Veterans and their Pets.

You do not need to have a pet to take this survey.
We need to hear from Veterans who do and do not have pets so we can see how pets might help Veterans reintegrate into
society and work after Military Service. Your answers to these questions will help us understand the difficulties some
Veterans have in returning home and to work, and to design programs (e.g., service dogs) to assist those in need.
Participation in the survey is voluntary. You can exit the survey at any time, or select “No Response” to any question you
do not want to answer. We do not ask for your name or other identifying information. Your answers are anonymous and
will only be shared in summary form with the overall results.
The survey may take about 20-60 minutes for you to complete.
