The Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) will be undertaking a battery of Stress Resiliency Questionnaires through a COPS cooperative agreement with the MPD. These surveys will be used to collect data on MPD officers' perceived stress, responses to stressful experiences, stress and its relationship to biometrics and related questionnaires.
The reasons for the increase in burden is due to this being a newly proposed ICR on behalf of the COPS Office. The objective of this proposal is to test the hypothesis that training police to self regulate their emotional and physiological responses to stressors will increase their resiliency to such stress. In order to do so, the selected battery of tests will help determine this outcome.
