13 YEARS AG0. WHEN I STARTED TRUCKING. AND NO
ONE USED EOBRS. I NEVER ONCE SAW AN
ACCIDENT. THEN I WENT LOCAL FOR 10 YEARS AND
CAME BACK OUT ON THE ROAD. TODAY. I SEE
ACCIDENTS ONCE A WEEK. OF TRUCKS FLIPPED
OVER AND I HAVE NOOOO IDEA HOW THEY GOT
THERE. BUT EVERYONE OF THEM HAS HAD A
TRACKING DEVICE ON THERE TRUCK.
THE HOS RULES DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR
SAFETY. IT MAKES IT WORSE. DRIVERS ARE
RUNNING AGAINST A CLOCK. AND THEY'RE
PRESSURED TO BE SOMEWHERE BEFORE THAT
CLOCK EXPIRES. AND THEY ARE DRIVING TIRED.
BEFORE THERE CLOCK EXPIRES.
THIS MAY ALSO COME AS A SHOCK BUT NOT MANY
CAN SLEEP FOR 8 HOURS OR 10 HOURS AS YOU ALL
WOULD LIKE.
HOS RULES ARE UNREALISTIC. THE GOVT CAN'T
CONTROL THE BODY. NOR CAN THEY CONTROL THE
CONDITIONS THAT BODY MUST WORK. (SHIPPERS,
RECVRS, ETC)
YOU GUYS ARE CRAZY TO THINK OUR BODIES CAN
BE PROGRAMMED TO WORK LIKE MACHINES. YOU
GUYS HAVE GOTTEN WAY OUT OF HAND WITH THE
HOS RULES.
WHEN I STARTED. THE RULES WERE SUCH THAT A

DRIVER COULD SPLIT HIS 10/8 HOURS. THERE WAS
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THOSE RULES.
YOU'VE THROWN IN A 34 RESET. AND THAT IS A NICE
BONUS TO WORK WITH. BUT NOW YOU'VE SCREWED
THAT UP ALSO WITH THE NEW RULES COMING OUT.
YOU'RE SCREWING UP ROYALLY WITH THE HOS
RULES. AND MAKEING OUR JOBS MORE AND MORE
DIFFICUTLT. WITH LITTLE RESPECT FOR THE SAFETY
OF THE PUBLIC YOU ARE SERIOUSLY JEOPARDIZING.
SAFETY WOULD COME ALONG MUCH BETTER IF WE
WERE ALLOWED TO DO OUT JOBS AT OUR LEISURE.
DRIVE WHEN WE'RE AWAKE. SLEEP WHEN WE GET
TIRED. AND THE ENTIRE COUNTRY WOULD BE
SAFER.
NONE OF YOU HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE AS A
TRUCKER. SO NONE OF YOU EVEN CARE TO REALIZE
THE HARM YOU ARE DOING TO TRUCKERS AND THE
MOTORING PUBLIC.
ONLY THE HUMAN BODY KNOWS WHEN IT'S TIRED.
NOT THE GOVERNMENT.
STOP THINK WE ARE MACHINES AND CAN WORK THE
WAY THE GOVERNMENT WANTS. WE ARE NOT
SLAVES AND WE DON'T WORK WELL WITH THE
CLOCK.
THE #1 RULE OF DRIVING IS NO FATIGUED DRIVING.
YOUR HOS TOTALLY DISREGARDS THAT RULE.
