JUSTIFICATION FOR RI 25-7
RI 25-7, Marital Status Certification Survey, is used to verify the status of survivor annuitants who receive benefits based on the Federal service of their deceased spouse. The law requires termination of benefits who remarry prior to age 55.
The form is revised for a non-substantial change to eliminate the option to respond to the survey via OPM’s website.
