Terms of Clearance: In accordance with 5 CFR 1320, the information collection is approved for three years. The agency is reminded that it should have in place an internal planning process so that completion of the public notification and comment period required by 5 CFR 1320 occurs prior to an information collection's expiration date. Agencies should submit non-emergency extension requests sufficiently prior to expiration dates to allow for a 60-day period of OMB review.

Short Statement: In order to adequately monitor, report, and ensure transparency and accountability, DOE required monthly and quarterly reporting given the increase in funding for this program with the implementation of ARRA. DOE was able decrease and simplify the reporting requirements due to expending ARRA funding and returning to the standard burden and allocation.
