The collection of this information is critical to ensure that the government has sufficient information to determine whether applicants meet the eligibility requirements to qualify for a DOE loan guarantee and to provide DOE with sufficient information to evaluate an applicant's project using the criteria specified in 10 CFR Part 609.

The prior estimate of hour burden was based on LPO estimates, without the benefit of experience in this specific type of information collection. LPO's current estimate is based on our experience with actual similar prior collections, which were completed pursuant to the Paperwork Reduction Act under the OMB control number 1910-5134. The adjustments, therefore, reflect a more accurate estimate of the hour burden.
