The Logistics Capability Assistance
Tool (LCAT) is a voluntary model for States to self assess disaster
logistics planning and response capabilities and identify areas
ofrelative strength and weakness. The LCAT is facilitated through
two day collaborative sessions at States and is hosted by the State
emergency management agency. FEMA provides State emergency
management agencies with a detailed analysis report and roadmap for
continuous improvement if the State decides to share the
outcome.
Since the last submission, the
Local (FEMA Form 008-0-2) and Tribal (FEMA Form 008-0-3) Content
Guides have been developed and implemented thus increasing the
annual burden hours. These additional content guides are
instrumental in executing a successful LCAT to be able to meet the
needs of our customers, the State, local and Tribal government
partners.
