Applicants for Peace Corps volunteer
assignment must complete an application form. The information
collected by the Volunteer Application is used by the Peace Corps
to collect essential information from individuals, including
technical and language skills, and availability for Peace Corps
service. The Peace Corps is changing its application process to
better match applicants to programs based on their skills and
interests.
There in an increase in the
number of estimated applicants but a decrease in the amount of time
it will take an applicant to complete the application process. The
change in the application form has decreased the time for
completion from 6 hours to 1 hour.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
