PUBLIC COMMENT 1 – Tariq Aziz
Further
education in USA
In today’s times the best country to look
for, as a seeker of higher education is The United states of America.
Although the cost of education can be higher in the USA compared to
that of the country you belong to… but the other way of
looking at it is for the parents is to take it as an investment for
the future of your child. As once your child reaches the USA he can
make a career for himself as there are tremendous opportunities here
for him to grab on to. The USA has worlds’ highly rated
institutions. These institutions are leaders in regards to course
curriculum and education quality in which they provide. The overall
quality of education offered in the US colleges and universities is
compared as best on the planet. The certificate and degree earned
from a US college / university is touted as as Hallmark to further
career. The Universities like MIT, Harvard, CIT, Berkeley, John
Hopkins,......... Etc. are the institutions in which many dream to
get admitted in. These institutions conducting ground breaking
research and inventing new technologies for the cause of mankind. For

NCES RESPONSE TO COMMENT 1
We appreciate the recommendation for postsecondary education in the United States. Early educational experiences can help set the foundation for successful elementary, secondary, and ultimately, postsecondary educational outcomes. For data on postsecondary education, we recommend visiting http://nces.ed.gov.
PUBLIC COMMENT 2 – Jean Public
this should be done every 5 years. it is not necessary to have this done every year. it is time to clos down the high spending going on at the ed dept.
NCES RESPONSE TO COMMENT 2
We appreciate the concern about public spending and have worked carefully to limit the cost of the data collection and data reporting associated with this study. We are not sure how data collection done every 5 years could be used to study annual changes in programs and how those relate to regularly changing populations being served. To ensure that policy makers have up-to-date information on programs that require substantial investments of scarce resources each year, NCES will collect and report the data annually.
