NASA collects information from grant
and cooperative agreement awardees (institutions of higher
education and other non-profit organizations) to ensure the proper
accounting of federal property within their use/control. The
information is used by NASA to maintain an effective internal
control system and comply with the Chief Financial Officer Act
regarding the accountability of Federal funds, 2 CFR Chapters I and
II/OMB Guidance for Grants and Cooperative Agreement, and reporting
and record keeping per 14 CFR Part 1260.74, Grants and Cooperative
Agreements. The title of the information collection was changed to
align with the scope. Other changes include an increase in the
number of eligible respondents reporting and decrease in the burden
hours.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
