RE: Non-substantive changes

The next filing of the FERC Form 580 will be due in November, 2014. In preparation for this filing the Commission needs to make several non-substantive changes to the form and instructions.

On the first page of the form the Commission is adding the following language:

Title 18, U.S.C. 1001 makes it a crime for any person knowingly and willingly to make to any Agency or Department of the United States any false, fictitious or fraudulent statements as to any matter within its jurisdiction.

This Commission includes this same language on all of its mandatory forms and is adding it to this form as well.

Throughout the form the Commission is making the following types of changes:

  • Updating the filing deadline to reflect the next filing date

  • Updating the years for respective data to 2012 and 2013

  • Ensuring that all text that has a corresponding term in the glossary is blue

  • Conforming question instructions and text with changes that were approved by OMB in the last submittal

The Commission considers the above changes to be non-substantive.
