5. CENTER STAFF SURVEY
Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. We are conducting this survey in order to
gather information from multiple Comprehensive Centers about the successes and challenges of
building constituent capacity and providing technical assistance. All the information you provide
will be reported as aggregate or grouped data and will only be used for the purposes of this study.
The focus of this survey is on technical assistance in two areas identified by the Department of
Education as priorities:
1. Identifying, recruiting, developing, and retaining highly effective teachers and leaders
2. Ensuring school readiness and success of preschool‐age children and their successful
transition to kindergarten.
We are interested in your responses as someone who provides technical assistance to state
departments of education (SEAs) or to Regional Comprehensive Centers. However, there may be
some questions on the survey that you feel do not apply to you. Please feel free to indicate that
on those questions by selecting “don’t know.” Because we are surveying several people from
each Center, those questions will likely be answered by your colleagues.
The survey should take 20 minutes to complete.
Information collected for this study comes under the confidentiality and data protection
requirements of the Institute of Education Sciences (The Education Sciences Reform Act of
2002, Title I, Part E, Section 183). Responses to this data collection will be used only for
research purposes. The reports prepared for this study from the survey findings will
be summarized and aggregated and should not associate responses with a specific district,
school, or individual. However, respondents’ roles and the CC they work with may be identified
in the report, which may lead to individuals’ being identified. Other than this situation that we
have made respondents aware of, we will not provide information that identifies you to anyone
outside the study team, except as required by law.
This survey is voluntary. You can decide not to participate, or you can discontinue participation
at any time without consequence. You do not have to answer any questions you do not want
to, but we encourage you to answer as many as you can.
