Dear Mr. Richardson,
I was very happy to see the posting for the proposed project, “Measuring the Effects of State and Local Radon Policies.” I think such a project would provide invaluable information in regard to best methods to help reduce the burden of radon-related lung cancer. I know Dr. Anthony Neri and his efforts in this area. Over the past 15 years, I have worked with numerous state agencies and cancer consortiums around the country on radon their radon reduction efforts. I am writing not to comment formally, but to get additional information in regard to who will actually perform the duties of the project and anticipated timeline. If possible, it would also be very helpful to receive a copy of the actual data collection plans and instruments. If it is easier to transmit the information over the intranet, my CDC email is [email protected].
Warmest Regards, Bill

the scourage of lung cancer from radon is real and a sad event. however, I do not agree that this survey is necessary at this time. it appears to be unnecessary spending in a depressed economy in America. I think it needs to be held if things get better. the economy stinks in America right now. therefore, I do not agree that taxpayers should be gouged to pay for this unnecessary and wasteful survey at this time. the survey will accomplish nothing. so you know but with the governments we have in states right now who wont even take care of coal ash, like north Carolina, and nj which is gutting environmental regulations. its clear that nothing will change for the better in health steps. so I think this is not the time to do this spending of American tax dollars. I do not support this spending. the budget for this program should be zero. this comment is for the public record. please acknowledge receipt. jean public
