Reinstatement without change of a previously approved
collection
This request solicits information from
respondents who petition the agency to request an exemption from
100% identity testing of a dietary ingredient. Relevant regulations
are found at 21 CFR 111.75(a)(1) and respondents are firms in the
dietary supplement industry, including dietary supplement
manufacturers, packagers and re-packagers, holders, labelers and
re-labelers, distributors, warehouses, exporters, importers, large
businesses, and small businesses.
Burden for collection remains
unchanged, but collection was discontinued when furlough prevented
timely renewal. Agency has not sponsored or collected information
under this control number during the interim period.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
