NACCHO Advance Email to Respondents
Dear Health Officer:
With support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), APA and the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) is conducting an assessment entitled “Healthy Community Design: Assessment of Local Health and Planning Departments.” The intent of the study is to collect data regarding the degree to which local health departments and planning departments are working together to advance healthy community design and to understand how APA and NACCHO can support these efforts.
As part of this assessment, we would like to understand your local planning department’s efforts and resource needs around integrating health and planning efforts. The assessment asks respondents to report the types of collaboration, if any, and identify resources that might be needed to integrate health into your work. The information gathered in the assessment will be used to produce a final report that will inform the CDC, APA, NACCHO, and other external stakeholders about the current state of practice among planning departments and LHDs, trends and issues, the needs for capacity building assistance for practitioners to build or sustain partnerships.
The assessment is available in an electronic format and is estimated to take approximately 15 minutes to complete. In a few days, you will receive an email from NACCHO that contains a link to the assessment. Data from the assessment will not be linked to the identity of a particular respondent or organization. Your response will help APA and NACCHO to understand practice needs. Your participation is voluntary.
Thank you in advance for your participation in this very important study. For questions, please contact Sandra Whitehead at [email protected]
Sincerely,
Sandra Whitehead
