Preexposure Prophylaxis (PrEP): Local Health Department Assessment Instrument
The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), with funding and support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is conducting this assessment to establish a better understanding of local health departments’ (LHD's) HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) perceived role in implementation activities, needs, challenges, opportunities, and next steps. This information will allow NACCHO, as well as its governmental and nongovernmental partners at the national, state, and local level, to better support and promote LHD engagement in PrEP implementation.
The assessment should take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Once you begin the assessment, you will be able to save and continue at a later time. To preview the assessment, you can access a PDF version of the questions. Please consult with other staff members informed about your health department’s PrEP activities, as needed, to complete the assessment.
