Request for Approval under the “Generic Clearance for the Collection of Routine Customer Feedback” (OMB Control Number: 0970-0401)

T ITLE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION:

Capacity Building Collaborative Customer Feedback for Learning Experiences

PURPOSE:

This is a request for approval by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), under the Federal Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, for a new data collection task to be added to the Administration for Children and Families’ already approved generic OMB clearance # 0970-0401. The proposed information collection activity is intended to allow for customer feedback regarding webinars and events held by the Children’s Bureau’s Capacity Building Collaborative. The Capacity Building Collaborative includes three centers (Center for States, Center for Tribes, Center for Courts) funded by the Children’s Bureau to provide national child welfare expertise and evidence-informed training and technical assistance services for State, Tribal and Territorial public child welfare agencies and courts. The feedback received will allow Collaborative staff to understand the experience of customers with each learning experience so that they can make improvements to better serve customers and meet their information needs. The surveys will include both feedback questions and pre-/post- test questions and are structured to be of shorter length (5 minute burden) during completion of individual learning experience modules and longer length (20 minutes) at the end of the learning experience. Pre-/post-test data will be used by participants to understand their learning and acquire continuing education credits and by collaborative staff to make improvements to the course. They will not be used for evaluation purposes. Due to the varied structure of each learning experience for which feedback is needed, the information collection is designed to allow staff to choose feedback questions tailored to the experience and reduce the potential burden on respondents of needing to answer identical questions for every instance, even when those questions may not be applicable.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONDENTS:

Participants will include child welfare agency and judicial staff who attend learning experiences offered by the three Capacity Building Collaborative Centers. The participants will be able to provide feedback on the learning experiences which will inform each Center’s planning and service provision.
