Type of Review: Revision of a
currently approved collection.
Abstract
VA Form 21–0307 provides
information to a child of a Vietnam
Veteran with spina bifida or certain
birth defects to inform them of potential
entitlement to VA health care benefits
and vocational training programs.
Without the information provided on
this form, potentially eligible children
would not be able to apply for these
benefits.
An agency may not conduct or
sponsor, and a person is not required to
respond to a collection of information
unless it displays a currently valid OMB
control number. The Federal Register

Veterans Affairs (VA), is announcing an
opportunity for public comment on the
proposed collection of certain
information by the agency. Under the
Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of
1995, Federal agencies are required to
publish notice in the Federal Register
concerning each proposed collection of
information, including each proposed
revision of a currently approved
collection, and allow 60 days for public
comment in response to the notice.
The Pre-Discharge Compensation
Claim is used by service members to file
claims under the Benefits Delivery at
Discharge or Quick Start programs
under Title 38 U.S.C. 5101(a). Without
this information, VA would be unable to
effectively administer this law.

payment. VA will only request the

mail was returned to VA.
