The reported burden decrease is
an examination of forms downloaded from the Fiscal Service website,
the distribution of printed copies over the past 3-4 years, and an
analysis of service request data provided by the program office
responsible for processing such cases. Analysis of recent activity
indicates a decline in requests of this nature attributed to the
elimination of paper savings bonds and increase of services offered
in the TreasuryDirect system which does not offer voluntary
guardian registration. The decrease of 2,267 hours is an adjustment
in agency estimate for a total of 333 burden hours requested.
