47 CFR 80.413 requires that a licensee
of an on-board station must keep equipment records which show: the
ship name and identification of the on-board station, the number
and type of repeater and mobile units used on-board the vessel, and
the date and type of equipment which is added or removed from the
on-board station. These record keeping requirements are necessary
to document the number and type of transmitters operating under an
on board station license.
