WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE,
TRADE AND CONSUMER PROTECTION
FY 2015 PRIORITY #1
FOR SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDS
REGION 5 STATE LABORATORY SUPPORT FOR
CHECK SAMPLE PROGRAM PARTICIPATION
The Bureau of Laboratory Services of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture,
Trade and Consumer Protection is maintaining a sustainable national check
sample program for State and Tribal pesticide laboratories. It is assumed the
program will be sustainable via annual subscription fees. The subscription fee
for 2015 is $1,100 to each laboratory participating in the program.
The Bureau of Laboratory Services is requesting support to cover the cost of the
2015 subscription fee for five state pesticide laboratories in EPA Region 5.
Rather than have the Bureau of Laboratory Services invoice each of the five labs
individually, the grant proposal is to have one grant of $5,500 made to the WI
laboratory. Because WI has no mechanism to collect a state match from the
other state laboratories, there is no state match in this proposal.
The total grant request is $5,500.
