Angels Landing or Narrows Route Card

Dear Visitor,

Please carry this card with you for the duration of your hike today. Along the way, you will periodically encounter other survey administrators who will ask you for your card. They will record the time of day and location on the card, and will then return it to you. Each of these contacts will take less than 30 seconds, with no more than 10 total contacts throughout the day. At the end of your hike, you will be asked the answer a couple of questions on the back of the card before returning it to the survey administrator at the end of the trail If personnel is not available, there will be a drop box that you will be able to deposit your completed card into. Thanks you for your cooperation and have a safe and fun hike today.

Paperwork Reduction and Privacy Act Statements: The Paperwork Reduction Act requires us to tell you why we are collecting this information, how we will use it, and whether or not you have to respond. This information will be used by the National Park Service as authorized by 54 USC 100702. We will use this information to understand travel patterns, as well as visitor crowding, displacement, and safety on the Angels Landing trail. Your responses are voluntary and anonymous. Your name and address will not be collected. At the completion of this collection any personal information will be destroyed and in no way be connected with the results of this survey. A Federal agency may not conduct or sponsor and you are not required to respond to, a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB Control Number.

Burden Estimate: We estimate that it will take an average of 6 minutes to complete this route card survey.
