I am writing to ask for your assistance in improving the clinical training experiences at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical centers. A web-based survey is conducted annually to assist us in understanding your perceptions of the VA learning environment. You are an important source of information and we would appreciate your taking the time to complete this survey.
Please access the 2013 Learners’ Perceptions (LP) survey at: http://www.va.gov/oaa/surveys. The survey should take approximately 15 minutes of your time. If you have already taken the survey that has been available since November 2005, thank you. If not, please respond within few days by logging on to the web site provided.
This survey has been extremely valuable in assessing the strengths and weaknesses of VA clinical training programs. Because of its national scope, it has given us the opportunity to impact large numbers of trainees in many different disciplines across the VA healthcare system.
Your participation within the next few days will be truly valued and appreciated. Participation in this survey is voluntary, and confidentiality of individual respondents will be preserved while sharing results of the LP Survey with VA facilities. I hope that your clinical training with us was rewarding and educational. I wish you success in achieving your professional goals.
Sincerely
yours,
Karen M. Sanders, M.D.
