OPPORTUNITY TO COMMENT ON DRAFT REVISION TO OFFICE OF NUCLEAR MATERIAL SAFETY AND SAFEGUARDS PROCEDURE SA-105, “REVIEWING THE COMMON PERFORMANCE INDICATOR, TECHNICAL QUALITY OF INCIDENT AND ALLEGATION ACTIVITIES” (STC-16-0xx)
Purpose: To provide the Agreement States with an opportunity to comment on the proposed revisions to the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS) (formerly the Office of Federal and State Materials and Environmental Management Programs) Procedure SA-105, “Reviewing the Common Performance Indicator, Technical Quality of Incident and Allegation Activities.”
Background: This procedure is being revised to update to reflect the current NMSS organization (post FSME merger) and the current practices for reviewing allegations and incidents during an Integrated Materials Performance Evaluation Program review.
Discussion: Enclosed for your review and comment is a draft revision to NMSS Procedure SA-105, “Reviewing the Common Performance Indicator, Technical Quality of Incident and Allegation Activities.” The current draft revision is provided in red line strikeout format from the last revision in February 2010 and a clean (readable) copy). We would appreciate receiving your comments within 30 days1 from the date of this letter.
