Dear Producer,
Enclosed is your Cost of Pollination questionnaire. This is a new survey aimed at determining
the fees associated with honey bee pollination. The survey asks on which crops, if any, did you
use honey bee pollination, and how much you spent on this practice in 2015.
This survey is vital for the U.S. Department of Agriculture to accurately assess how fees
associated with pollination affect farming in this country. Results of this survey will help
determine the need for, and shape future legislation and regulations impacting pollination.
You have the following ways to respond:




Online at www.agcounts.usda.gov beginning September 28. Responding online is the
easiest, fastest and safest way to complete your survey and it saves taxpayer dollars too. All
you need is the identification number on the enclosed form to begin.
By mail or fax. Complete the enclosed questionnaire and mail it back in the return envelope
provided or fax it to (314) 595-9990.

If you do not respond by November 1, 2015, we will contact you to arrange a telephone or
personal interview.
As required by Federal law, your responses are completely confidential. We safeguard the
privacy of all respondents, ensuring that no individual operation or producer can be identified.
