SUBJECT:

DMDC Review of Millennium Cohort Revisions for OMB Approval

As requested, DMDC has reviewed the subject study protocol and it’s supporting
materials as part of the OMB submission process through WHS. The technical concerns raised
in our reviews have been addressed. Our recommendation to WHS/ESD is that the revisions to
the study protocol and the data collection materials are sufficiently designed and developed in
order to be sent forward as required to obtain OMB approval for the revisions for this Public
Information Collection. This is a very important and unique project and we strongly support the
approval of these revisions.
The DMDC reviews highlighted several areas (e.g., use of SSNs, incentives, etc.) that
may be appropriate for consideration as part of the Privacy, HRPP and other reviews. Both
DMDC reviews are attached to the email transmitting this letter.
