Summary of Proposed Changes to Interview Tools

Proposed Changes

  • We request to modify the two structured interviews that we routinely conduct: 1) the law enforcement interview tool, and 2) the school official interview tool. These interviews are conducted with law enforcement and school staff who are familiar with the school-associated violent deaths on which we collect data. Proposed changes are outlined below and specified in Attachments L (crosswalk for the law enforcement interview instrument) and M (crosswalk for the school official interview instrument).
