NORA FY14 Intramural Funding Opportunity Announcements
Thursday, May 09, 2013 8:58:05 AM

Colleagues:

I am pleased to announce the projects selected for funding under the NORA FY14 Intramural Project Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA).

The selected projects advance the top research priorities of NIOSH and the Sector and Cross-Sector Programs. Total Worker Health™ and Oil and
Gas Extraction, including hydraulic fracturing, were the emphasis area programs. Project Officers submitted twenty proposals for peer review.
Given our existing budget constraints, we are currently able to fund twelve projects.  See the list below.

All Project Officers have received a summary statement from the external peer review of their proposal. The Project Officers and their supervisors
are encouraged to consider this input and implement changes in their projects in response to the comments provided by the external peer
reviewers. I have asked the Communication and Research Translation Office (CRTO), the office that manages r2p, to work with Project Officers
and their managers to assure effective r2p plans are incorporated into each funded project.

Please join me in congratulating the Project Officers listed in the Table below for their outstanding efforts in developing high quality projects.
If you have any questions about this funding announcement, please contact Sid Soderholm, NORA Coordinator, at 202-245-0665 or by email at
[email protected].
