Overall, there are 1,142 fewer
responses and 19,912 fewer hour burdens due to a program change and
several adjustments. The estimated non-hour burdens are increased
by $317,270 due to changes in fixed document processing fees and
changes in estimated numbers of responses. There is one program
change. We have removed the activity labeled, “43 CFR Part 3480,
Subpart 3485, Production Report / Licensees” because it duplicates
an activity authorized by control number 1012-0008, which is
administered by the Office of Natural Resource Revenue: This
program change has resulted in 8 fewer responses and 20 fewer hours
for this control number. The adjustments are due to the BLM’s
recent experience with this collection of information. One
adjustment was at the BLM's discretion and not solely due to
changes in responses. That adjustment was the increase of the
document processing fee for an Application for an Exploration
License from $315 per response to $334 per response, in accordance
with 43 CFR 3000.11 and 3000.12.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
