CMS Response to Public Comments Received for CMS–10519
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) received comments from healthcare provider organizations to CMS-10519. This is the reconciliation of the comments.
Comment:
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) received comments from a healthcare provider organization suggesting that the information in CMS-10519 relates to Rule 42 and, if implemented, would negatively affect the commenter’s facility.
Response:
CMS appreciates the concern expressed by this commenter but the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) and the Electronic Prescribing Incentive (eRx) Program Data Assessment, Accuracy and Improper Payments Identification Support do not apply to healthcare facilities, nor do the activities for PQRS data assessment relate to Rule 42. Given that, CMS shall take under advisement the recommendation put forth from this commenter and should further consultation be required, CMS shall contact the commenter to investigate any potential issues to the Medicare program.
