VOLUNTARY MAGAZINE QUESTIONNAIRE FOR AGENCIES/ENTITIES WHO STORE EXPLOSIVE MATERIALS



INSTRUCTIONS


  1. For items 1, 2, and 3, please provide the requested information

  2. For item 5, Government agencies/entities are not required to obtain an ATF license or permit. If the agency/entity has one, please provide information.

  3. For item 7, provide the number of explosives magazines that the agency/entity lease, own, share. (“Lease” means monetary or non-monetary agreement between parties, goodwill, etc.)

  4. For item 8, make additional copies if needed. Magazine ID refers to the name designated by you, if applicable. (E.g. Magazine #1.). Magazine Type; refer to 27 CFR, Part 555.203 (Types of magazines). Type 1 magazines: Permanent magazines for the storage of any explosives. Type 2 magazines: Mobile and portable indoor and outdoor magazines for the storage of any explosives. Type 3 magazines, portable outdoor magazines for temporary storage of high explosives while attended, other classes of explosive materials may also be stored. Type 4 magazines: Magazines for the storage of low explosives, or blasting agents. Type 5 magazines: Magazines for the storage of blasting agents.

NOTE: Do not include ammunition. Generally, detonators are not allowed to be stored in the same magazine as other explosives. Law Enforcement distractionary devices (flash bangs) may be stored in a type 4 magazine when properly packaged to Department of Transportation standards.
