Justification for Nonsubstantive Change
Methods for Assuring Access to Covered Medicaid Services
Under 42 CFR 447.203 and 447.204
CMS 10391, OMB 0938-1134
This nonsubstantive information collection request is associated with a final rule that published in the Federal Register on April 12, 2016 (81 FR 21479, RIN 0938-AS89, CMS-2328-F2). Effective upon the posted date for public inspection (April 8, 2016), the rule extends the deadline for states to submit their initial access monitoring review plan. The original deadline was July 1, 2016, which is now extended to October 1, 2016. That change is reflected in the attached Supporting Statement part A.
Consistent with the rule, the Supporting Statement also revises the deadline for subsequent review periods from July 1 to October 1.
The changes have no effect on our currently approved burden estimates.
