The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) submits this memorandum to provide justification for
changes to the form for the information collection, the Survey for Consumer Attitudes, Understanding,
and Behaviors with Respect to Financial Services and Products (CFPB Awareness Survey), approved
under 3170-0034 by OMB on May 17, 2016. 1 Specifically, we are submitting the Spanish language
version of the CFPB Awareness Survey. This version ensures that individuals who are Spanish dominant
(or who have a greater proficiency in, or preference for the use of, the Spanish language) can access the
survey.
